Dispute a result

POST
/api/v1/matches/{matchId}/participants/{matchParticipantId}/dispute

Records that the claimed player of a participant disagrees with their recorded result, with the reason; the recorder sees it in the match. Only a user whose canonical player has an active claim edge to the participant’s ghost player may dispute it, and only in a finalized match. A new dispute replaces an earlier one. The dispute is cleared when it is withdrawn or when an approved match edit changes the participant; the way to have the result corrected is a match edit (POST /matches/{matchId}/edits).

matchId
required
string format: uuid

Public match identifier

matchParticipantId
required
string format: uuid

Public match participant identifier

Idempotency-Key
required
string

Client-generated UUIDv7, required on every mutating request (POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE), that makes the request safe to retry. A repeated request with the same key and the same payload returns the stored response (marked with the Idempotent-Replayed: true header) instead of executing again; the same key with a different payload is refused with 422. Keys older than the retention window (30 days) are rejected. A key that is not a UUID is refused with 400.

If-Match
required
string

ETag of the resource being modified, for optimistic concurrency control: the request is refused with 412 when the resource changed since. Obtain it from the ETag response header of a previous GET or mutation.

Why the player disagrees with the recorded result
