Vision
Stratastax functions as the universal identity and statistics platform for tabletop gaming. Not just a session tracker, but the social identity layer for the global tabletop gaming community.
Every game played, every match recorded, every player involved and every strategic decision made connects into a single, persistent and reusable data network. Just as nearly everyone has an email address or phone number, the long-term vision is that every tabletop gamer has a Stratastax account that represents their gaming identity across all games, groups, clubs, tournaments and platforms.
A Persistent Gaming Identity
Section titled “A Persistent Gaming Identity”Today, tabletop gaming history is fragmented. Matches get recorded in notebooks, spreadsheets, private apps, club administration systems, tournament software and social platforms. Valuable gaming history is lost, duplicated or disconnected from the players who created it.
Stratastax provides a single, persistent identity that follows a player throughout their entire gaming lifetime. A player’s history does not belong to a specific application, club, event or gaming group. It belongs to the player. Whether someone plays with family, friends, local clubs, convention groups or international tournaments – their gaming identity remains the same.
A Stratastax identity is not tied to a single game. The same identity follows a player across board games, card games, tournaments, clubs, conventions and future integrations. One account. One history. One gaming identity.
Living Identities
Section titled “Living Identities”A player does not need to join Stratastax before their gaming history can exist. Friends can record matches today and link identities later. When a player eventually joins the platform, years of historical records - matches, results, rivalries and strategic choices can be claimed, verified and connected back to their real gaming identity.
This is identity resolution: the ability to build a retroactive picture of who someone is as a player, even before they ever created an account. It transforms Stratastax from a place where you store matches into a place where gaming identities are born, grow and persist across time.
Your Digital Trophy Cabinet
Section titled “Your Digital Trophy Cabinet”Peter Jansen
Keeping match data is not just about bookkeeping. It is about celebrating your gaming legacy. Which faction do you win with most often? How has your win rate evolved over the last three years? What is your all-time record against a specific opponent? Which deck consistently carries you to victory, and which one keeps letting you down?
Stratastax turns raw session data into meaningful insights: win percentages over time, faction statistics, favourite game configurations, historical rivalries and strategic patterns that only become visible across hundreds of matches. The longer you play, the richer your archive becomes – and the more it reflects who you are as a player. This is not just data storage. It is a living record of your tabletop history, there to be explored, analyzed and celebrated.
The People Behind the Matches
Section titled “The People Behind the Matches”Stratastax is not only about games. It is about the people you play them with. Friends, rivals, families, clubs and communities leave their mark on your gaming history. Years later, a match record should not only remind you who won, it should remind you who was there.
That evening with Mark before he moved away. The first time you introduced someone to a game they ended up loving. The tournament final that came down to a single decision. Gaming history is human history. Stratastax preserves both.
A photo often says what a data point cannot. Stratastax lets you attach photos to a match: the table mid-game, the trophy raised, the friend who was there. A match record becomes more than a result. It becomes a memory.
Connected Data
Section titled “Connected Data”Gaming data only becomes truly powerful when it connects to a wider ecosystem. A match is not merely a result. It is a crossroads of players, strategies, played scenarios, game configurations and historical context. Stratastax builds a persistent data network where every registered match strengthens not only your own archive but also contributes to a collective understanding of the tabletop ecosystem.
This network grows with every player who joins, every match that gets recorded, every identity that gets claimed. Every new player increases the value of the network. Every new match improves the quality of statistics. Every new connection makes the gaming graph more complete. You are not just building your own archive. You are contributing to something larger.
Privacy First
Section titled “Privacy First”Your data is the fuel for the community, but you control the engine. Users own their data. Personal gaming history, player identities and match records remain under the control of their owners. By default, personal data is private.
You decide what stays private, what is shared with trusted groups such as friends, family, clubs, or tournament organizers and what becomes publicly visible.
Community insights never require sacrificing personal control. Stratastax allows anonymous aggregation of statistics – so the platform can surface collective trends and community knowledge - while each individual retains full ownership of their source data. Collective intelligence and personal privacy are not in conflict here; they are designed to coexist.
Rich and Complete Match History
Section titled “Rich and Complete Match History”A tabletop game is more than a winner and a score. Stratastax preserves the complete context of every gaming experience: game configurations, expansions, factions, cards, scenarios, variants and strategic choices. A match recorded today should be fully understandable and reproducible years later.
The platform functions as a long-term archive of tabletop gaming history - detailed enough to reconstruct a session, meaningful enough to reveal the patterns behind it.
An Open Gaming Ecosystem
Section titled “An Open Gaming Ecosystem”Stratastax is not a closed application. It is an open platform. Other tools exist for tracking gaming history and Stratastax does not aim to replace them by locking users in. Instead, it prioritises compatibility over isolation: data imports and exports, open REST APIs, developer documentation and programmatic integrations ensure that Stratastax works alongside the tools you already use.
Clubs can manage events. Tournament organizers can track competitive history. Developers can build new tools and experiences on top of the shared identity network. Players who already use another tracker can bring their history with them.
The Long-Term Goal
Section titled “The Long-Term Goal”The ultimate goal of Stratastax is to become the standard identity and statistics network for tabletop gaming.
A place where every player owns their gaming history.
A place where every match contributes to collective knowledge.
A place where gaming communities connect without losing control of their data.
A place where asking “What’s your Stratastax?” is as natural as asking for a username, email address or phone number.
