TrustedEditor
Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”A TrustedEditor relationship lets a Match owner exempt a specific other User from the approval step on MatchEdits — for example, “edits my brother proposes to matches I own are automatically approved.” It exists so that people who trust each other completely do not need an explicit approval for every small correction, without weakening the approval requirement for everyone else.
Since a Match’s owner is always its MatchEdit’s sole approver, a TrustedEditor grant only ever exempts that owner’s own approval — it never affects any other Match.
Responsibilities
Section titled “Responsibilities”A TrustedEditor grant is responsible for:
- recording that one User (the grantor, acting as a Match owner) will auto-approve MatchEdits proposed by another specific User (the trustee) for matches the grantor owns.
Not Responsible For
Section titled “Not Responsible For”A TrustedEditor grant is NOT responsible for:
- granting any access to view data — that remains governed entirely by Privacy Levels and Groups;
- exempting Locked Matches from editing — locking always takes precedence;
- reciprocity — granting trust to someone does not grant anything back.
Invariants
Section titled “Invariants”- A TrustedEditor grant is directional: it names exactly one grantor and exactly one trustee, and only exempts MatchEdit approval for matches the grantor owns.
- A TrustedEditor grant never implies the reverse relationship.
- A TrustedEditor grant can be revoked by the grantor at any time; revoking it has no effect on MatchEdits already applied.
- A TrustedEditor grant never overrides a Locked Match.
Lifecycle
Section titled “Lifecycle”Granted
Section titled “Granted”A User grants trust to another specific User.
Revoked
Section titled “Revoked”The grantor withdraws the grant at any time. From that point on, MatchEdits from the former trustee follow the normal approval process again.
Relationships
Section titled “Relationships”- TrustedEditor grant is issued by one User (grantor) to one User (trustee).
Domain Events
Section titled “Domain Events”- TrustedEditorGranted
- TrustedEditorRevoked
Aggregate Design
Section titled “Aggregate Design”TrustedEditor is a child entity within the granting User’s aggregate — it only ever changes as a consequence of that User’s own decision, never as a side effect of anything the trustee does.
